TAPOL 2023

Submitted by ed on
Body

GreenNet has supported TAPOL's online activities for many years, and were happy to carry out an upgrade and rebuild of their trusty Drupal 7 website,

All of TAPOL's Bulletins, Reports, Publications and News items migrated over to a shiny new Drupal 9 CMS with a fresh visual design by Sarah Macbeth and a revised information architecture that we devised with the TAPOL team working remotely in several countries,

To keep everything secure, we've implemented various clever measures to make sure that the site stays up and well protected.

Following out work for ActionAid's Right to Education Initiative on their main website we worked with them to create a practical tool for civil society to select and apply RTE’s indicators.

The site combines a complex custom built online research tool with a visually engaging set of interactive guidance notes, on a responsive Drupal 7.

Equal Rights Trust

We built the new site for ERT in 2015, in a responsive themed Drupal 7.

Their priority was to improve the accessibility of their Virtual Library on Equality, by making it display elegantly and correctly regardless of the size of screen or type of device used by visitors, and adding a powerful suite of facetted and advanced searches. We worked closely with ERT to design and configure the library and to migrate the contents from their previous CMS and to reinvigorate ERT's online presence using maps and bold imagaery in a custom design based on their brand.

Electronic Immigration Network (EIN)

We built The Electronic Immigration Network (EIN) website in 2002 on our own CMS, ActionApps, and it has become an indispensable resource for anyone concerned with immigration law in the UK; legal practitioners, researchers, journalists, judges, academics and policy makers.

We've carried out several major updates to the site over the years, including rebuilding it in 2011 to take advantage of Drupal's powerful search functionality. The site now houses over 200,000 documents comprising several complex dynamically updated databases of legal material in areas such as legislation, case law reports, country reports and online legal resources.

The site uses membership management systems and secure access, and allows subscribers to avoid information overload by using an innovative bundle-maker which enables them to file documents or excerpts in personal online "bundles" as they browse the site.

This year we have implemented a responsive design, bringing the site design right up to date and making it compatible with the huge variety of devices and screen sizes used to browse the web these days.
